چکیده
For years, drilling engineers have been faced with the challenge of wells through naturally fractured reservoirs that are present around world. During drilling, pressure at bottomhole a well is frequently intentionally higher than formation pressure, which can result in loss mud surrounding rocks. cementing, even it during because cement slurry density mud. Therefore, if natural or induced fractures rocks not plugged be lost to them, reducing their permeability undesirable case pay zone. To prevent circulation and related consequences, necessary apply good cementing practices use adequate methods carefully selected materials for plugging zones. The aim this article give an overview preventive corrective applied zones as improvements technology avoid issues (e.g., aerated fluid, casing while managed expandable tubulars, lightweight slurries, etc.).

Coupling Geomechanics and Transport in Naturally Fractured Reservoirs
Large amounts of hydrocarbon reserves are trapped in naturally fractured reservoirs which arechallenging in terms of accurate recovery prediction because of their joint fabric complexity andlithological heterogeneity. Canada, for example, has over 400 billion barrels of crude oil in fracturedcarbonates in Alberta, most of this being bitumen of viscosity greater than 106 cP in the GrosmontFormat...
متن کاملUnsteady-State Behavior of Naturally Fractured Reservoirs
A simplified model was employed to develop mathematically equations that describe the unsteadystate behavior of naturally fractured reservoirs, The analysis resulted in an equation of flow of radial symmetry whose solution, for the infinite case, is identical in form and function to that describing the unsteady-state behavior of homogeneous reservoirs. Accepting the assumed model, for all pract...
متن کاملHydraulic Fracturing of Naturally Fractured Reservoirs
A carefully engineered stimulation that makes use of opening mode fractures is an effective way to reduce injection and production impedance and provide better access for the fluid to enter and promote shearing in the main reservoir volume. We present results from field experiments that mapped the fracture geometry for opening mode hydraulic fractures formed in naturally fractured crystalline r...

متن کاملGeological Characterization Of Naturally Fractured Reservoirs Using Multiple Point Geostatistics
The spatial distribution of fractures in a reservoir affects the displacement of fluids and the prediction of future performance. Realistic characterization of fractured reservoirs requires quantification and classification of fracture patterns on the basis of the underlying geological characteristics and developing reservoir modeling algorithms that can integrate connectivity based (multiple p...
